SÄRÖ CAMPS

Learn to play an instrument, play in a band, write your own songs and perform them on stage!

We want to provide a safe and supportive environment and opportunities to make music regardless of your background or financial situation. At the camp, the instructors are there to support and help whenever needed, but instead of just teaching, the focus is on experimenting together.

No previous experience or knowledge of music, playing or performing is required. Band camps give participants the chance to try out different instruments, play in a band, learn how to make music and play together. At the rap camp, participants will be given tools to write their own lyrics and a variety of ready-made songs to try out.

In addition to training, the camp will include a variety of workshops to practice performance skills such as improvisation or how to deal with performance anxiety. At the end of the camp, the bands or rappers take the stage to perform a song they have written and composed in a final concert.

BAND CAMP

Since 2016, Särö has been organising the highly popular band camp for adults (no age limit). The week-long camp in July focuses on traditional band instruments - guitar, bass, drums and singing - as well as writing your own songs.

RAP CAMP

The rap camp for young people (aged 13-28) was organised for the first time in 2019. Held during the autumn or winter holidays in schools, the rap camp focuses on lyrics, songs and making your own music.
