The purpose of the association is to promote and maintain the music and music-making hobby of trans and cisgender girls and women and other trans and gender -nonconforming people, to promote their well-being and appreciation in the music industry.

Membership is open to anyone who accepts the aims and rules of the association.

Upon application, members are approved by the Board of the association.

By becoming a member of Särö, you are entitled to vote at the spring and autumn meetings of the association.
